The Greater Prairie Chicken used to live in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, and midwest U.S. After agriculture changed the prairie chickens they began to disappear and now are only found in certain parts of midwest U.S. The prairie chicken lives in the tall grass prairie for food and cover. after mating the male leaves and the female builds a nest and takes care of the eggs. The tall grass in prairies is used for cover from strong wind and heavy rains the rains can harm their chicks.
